I've never been to either place but it seems everyone who has has horror stories. So I believe you.

Also you should have included the part you told me yesterday, about seeing Claude the busboy in the street the next day...that was pretty funny too. --- M of M&TAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1787822525441125324.post-63618824624390806392010-12-03T04:47:04.813-05:002010-12-03T04:47:04.813-05:00Took a trip to Europe in the summer of 79. I had been warned of this before the trip but until then I had no problem. He was screaming at me and I think cursing and any attempt to communicate with him by previously rehearsed phrases only brought forth more screaming and gesturing. Standing there and quietly enduring his tirade, I hated him and everything french. It was then that a sweet young thing walked up and in halting english offered her help. The hate I felt just a moment before just drained away as this young girl help me get the ticket I needed for my trip. Even the snide look the clerk gave me as he handed me the ticket could not erase the gratitude I felt for this girls help. She saved France for me and while I know what you mean when you write about their snobbish ways I know there is at least one good one out there. I've never forgotten her.
